FAQ

Location and Entrances
Located at 116 Cherry Street, there is a front and back entrance. The front entrance is on Cherry Street up the stairs to the left of The Hop and there is no business sign, yet. The back entrance is through The Trailhead and Dripolator parking lot and there is a large sign – follow the sidewalk to the back door.
Parking
There is no on-site parking. Use street parking and public lots in Black Mountain.
Sourwood Festival
August 8 and 9 is the Sourwood Festival in Black Mountain. Cherry Street, Sutton Ave, Black Mountain Ave, and Vance Ave will be closed to vehicle traffic. Give yourself plenty of time to find parking and consider walking or riding your bike.
Arrive Early
Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early, especially with the Sourwood Festival! Give yourself time to find any needed parking, check-in, and get oriented in the new space.
Book your Class!
Book your class in advance! Schedule opens to booking on Saturday, August 1. You can view the schedule right now! Select August 8 to see what we’ve got.

Class Schedule

Opening Prices
Classes are discounted during this “softish” opening! There are 1, 2, and 3 class options. Pricing details here!
Cancellation Policy
Cancel any booking up to the class start time. If you are a no-show, you will loose the class credit.
Potential Waitlists
Classes are starting small! You will be prompted to join a waitlist if a class is full and notified (by text and/or email) if you are added to that class. You will then have the option to confirm the booking or cancel.
Class Rollout
The schedule is starting out light as we build up the studio. Expect a lot of Hot Room (Sculpt, Pilates, and Yoga) classes with a few Pop-Up Strength Room (Strength + Condition) classes sprinkled in.
Pop-Ups Vs. Weekly Classes
Classes labeled “Pop-Up” are a one time class and not a part of our weekly schedule. Classes not labeled with “Pop-Up” are scheduled weekly.
Infrared Heat

Yoga, Sculpt, and Pilates classes are all heated with infrared heat. Warm classes are heated to 85 degrees, hot classes are heated to 98 degrees, and any “non-heated” classes will still be warm based on the class before or after – the heaters just won’t be on. Infrared heat is a dry heat that uses radiant panels to warm the body directly, helping increase circulation, encourage sweating, and improve mobility. It does not feel the same as being outside in 90 degree heat.

Classes are not the same as Black Mountain Yoga
Cherry Street Movement Studio is a fitness studio. Come to work hard and sweat! Classes are all heated and significantly more challenging than the classes at Black Mountain Yoga.
Black Mountain Yoga Class Transfers

If you have unused classes from Black Mountain Yoga, please contact us so we can apply them to your account, email preferred. Your remaining classes will be valid for the same number of months you had left, beginning August 8. If your name is not on our list of active class packs, there are no remaining classes available to transfer and your classes expired prior to the closure of Black Mountain Yoga.

We are New!!
As we get started, we appreciate your patience as we work through the details of launching a new business and settling into a new space. Like any new beginning, there will be things we continue to learn and refine along the way. We’re excited to open our doors and create Cherry Street Movement Studio!
